Transfers to Sesimbra beaches

Sesimbra beaches and bays have limited access, being that it’s only safe to do it by boat. By land, the winding and highly sloped paths make these dazzling Sesimbra beaches only accessible to the more adventurous.

Board in one of Bolhas Tours Taxi Boats and cruise to your chosen beach of Sesimbra to spend one day in a sheltered and deserted beach.

TAXI BOAT – SESIMBRA BEACHES YOU CAN REACH BY BOAT

  • Ribeiro do Cavalo Beach: Situated just 1 nautical mile from Sesimbra, Ribeiro do Cavalo Beach is renowned for its picturesque turquoise-blue waters. Named after a rock formation resembling a horse's head. this beach offers a serene escape for summer vacationers.
    Daily transfers from €17.50 per participant
  • Cova da Mijona Beach: Accessible only by boat from Sesimbra's sheltered harbor, Cova da Mijona Beach boasts an open bay with south-facing exposure. Marvel at the recently renovated fishing shelter and soak in the stunning light that illuminates the white rolled stones, creating a unique ambiance.

  • Baleeira Beach: It is located next to Cape Espichel between two large rock formations that protect it from the wind and swell, which has made this beach a centuries-old haven for various fishing activities. Its bay makes Baleeira a popular beach for diving and snorkeling. The translucent water, rich in marine life (octopuses, whelks and various types of algae), provides shelter for several species of juvenile fish.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The schedules may be adjusted, according to the clients’ specificities and weather conditions in the scheduled day.
  • Each person will be allowed to take aboard their personal belongings.
  • Each person is covered by Follow Sensations - Bolhas Tours insurance according to Portugal tourism license no. 346/2015 while they're in one of our boats tours on route to the beaches.
  • Individual activities in the beaches will not be covered by Follow Sensations – Bolhas Tours insurance, unless mentioned in and independent proposal of the current boat transfers program.
  • Some beaches, such as Ribeiro do Cavalo or Cova da Mijona, have no I.S.N. surveillance; therefore, you should have caution while performing your individual activities, either it being in the sea or land.
  • There are no bathrooms or sanitary facilities on these Arrábida Natural Park beaches.
  • Mobile network signal is weak or non-existent for all networks over long periods of time.
  • You should thoroughly follow all previous agreed pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Don't stand beneath the cliffs and respect all warning signs that are placed in the beaches our transfers take you to.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

Participate actively in the conservation of the beaches of the Arrábida Natural Park and the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park:

- Avoid collecting or damaging the vegetation and performing activities that foment Arrábida Natural Park beaches and ridges cliffs erosion such as removing stones and vegetation for ornamental purposes.

- Always use the waste containers provided; if there aren't any bring aboard and Bolhas Tours will dispose them in Sesimbra harbor containers.

- Actively participate in our natural heritage preservation – Arrábida Natural Park and Luiz Saldanha Marine Park fauna and flora appreciate it!
